The Life and Legacy of Jacob Boehme
A biographical documentary about Jakob Böhme (1575-1624), one of the most influential European thinkers.
It introduces the viewer to the most important elements of the thought of the great mystic and philosopher, and also acquaints him with the situation at that time in the Upper Lusatia region. Thanks to the involvement of outstanding experts on the subject, the author was able to present the extensive impact of Jakob Böhme's idea in the world, not limited to reception in Germany and Poland. The film does not bypass the complex threads of theology, history of philosophy or literature.
History of Silesian Mysticism
A documentary film about the spiritual atmosphere of Silesia and the activities of people such as Jacob Boehme, Abraham von Franckenberg and Angelus Silesius. The film is being made as part of the Lower Silesian Voivodship Scholarship.

Łukasz Chwałko grew up in Zgorzelec. graduated from Brighton Film School, then studied cultural studies and journalism at the University of Lower Silesia. During his studies, he began making a film about Jakob Boehme. His interests are in the history of Upper Lusatia and Silesia. In 2024, he was awarded a scholarship by the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and received the honorary title of 'Meritorious for the European City of Zgorzelec-Görlitz.
